Hudson River Sloop Clearwater: Jib

Another exciting project for the loft. We recently cut a new jib for the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.

This is a neat project because Clearwater was built just across the Damariscotta River from the sail loft at the Gamage Shipyard.

This is a large sail so it was cut in two parts.

It's always easier to have extra hands for these large sails and I was lucky enough to have help from some friends JC, Kate, and Amy who have all sailed on Clearwater for many years.

We had a great day cutting the sail and it was a blast teaching friends some sailmaking.
